Welcome to Timboon House!
First constructed in 1856, Timboon House and Stables has long looked after travellers weary from a long day’s journey. An important waystation in the early days of Victoria’s sheep industry, Timboon House remains one of the most architecturally and historically significant homesteads in Western Victoria. Built from magnificent bluestone, the main building offers visitors a stunning example of Colonial Georgian design, while the extensively refurbished stables are one of the oldest standing buildings in Western Victoria. You can read more about Timboon House’s fascinating history on the Victorian Heritage Registry website.
In keeping with these rich traditions, the Timboon House of today has been lovingly renovated inside and out to become a sumptuous new bed and breakfast – a breathtaking fusion of period design, glorious landscaping and modern luxury. Every room at Timboon House and Stables has been elegantly decorated and furnished with an eye for Georgian and Edwardian flourishes that perfectly complements the building’s celebrated origins. Surrounded by century old oak and elm trees, the sculpted gardens of the spacious 6 acre property boast innumerable flowerbeds, hedges, arbours and over 400 majestic rose bushes, offering a relaxing space for guests to unwind amidst nature at its most serene.
